Unfortunately they did not provide adequate instructions to set this tool up. I spoke with someone at IBM regarding this issue and they advised me to install the MegaRAID Storage Manager and attempt to add additional drive space through that tool. I looked through the WebBIOS for options to expand the array (IE expand it by adding drives) and I wasn't able to find any options for doing so.
What we are essentially trying to do is expand our RAID5 array to include more drives. The server is currently running VMWare ESXi 5.0 Update 2 and attached to it we currently have 2 arrays attached to it:ĥx900GB drives in a RAID5 which acts as VM data storage
I have an IBM x3500 M3 server with a ServeRAID M5015 raid controller card (which I believe is a re-branded LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i RAID card).
